| Members Enjoy Unlimited Usage of Sailing Vessels The Flagship Sailing Club is designed to provide sailors with an opportunity to sail their own boat without the expense and hassle of ownership. With proper certification, you'll be able to sail anywhere within the Tampa Bay area, including the Gulf of Mexico. You will also have access to Lake Michigan through the Clubs reciprocal relationships with the Great Lakes Sailing Association in Muskegon, Michigan. The Flagship Sailing Club sails out of both the the Harborage Marina in St. Petersburg, and the Great Lakes Marina in Muskegon, Michigan. Our facilities are only a ten minute sail from the Gulf of Mexico, the Intra Coastal Waterway and Tampa Bay. Sailing Club MarinaThe Flagship Sailing Club is operated by the Flagship Sailing School for the purpose of providing sailors with an economical source of continuing sailing education and experience, while at the same time enabling its members to sail in a variety of locations along Florida's west coast including Tampa Bay. Members are also given the opportunity to participate in organized sailing activities (additional charges apply) such as "raft-ups", a sunset cruise, regattas, and multi-boat flotillas as well as charters in the British Virgin Islands, Belize, and the Bahamas. Flagship Sailing Club membership is open to any sailor holding, or interested in obtaining, sailing school certification from the American Sailing Association, the Tampa Bay Sailing Association, or the Great Lakes Sailing Association as well as to sailors with equivalent experience, but who have not yet obtained formal certification. Dues are $250.00 per month (plus tax) which entitles members to unlimited usage (there are no additional rental charges) of Flagship Sailing vessels for day and weekend voyages on a bareboat basis. Members do not have to concern themselves with, nor pay for, the cost of fuel, maintenance, insurance, or slip rent. They merely have to learn how to relax and how to sail safely. Membership is contractual for the first twelve months, but may be cancelled any time thereafter with thirty days notice. Should members of our sailing club wish to increase their formal sailing school instruction, they may register for any of the sailing classes offered by our sailing school. And, if the sailing club member is willing to become part of an already scheduled sailing class (or they may form their own class), the member(s) will receive discounts of 10%, 15% and 20% (respectively) depending upon whether the group consists of two, three or four people. Additionally, sailing club members may, while staying onboard one of the Flagship Sailing vessels, use the swimming pool, showers and restrooms located at the Harborage Marina in St. Petersburg, and through Flagship Sailing Club's reciprocal relationships with the Great Lakes Sailing Association. Members may use the facilities of the Great Lakes Marina in Muskegon, Michigan. Members also receive preferential rates should they wish to reserve one of the Chart House Hotel suites overlooking Clearwater Bay.
