Hi Mike,

I was going to snail mail you a note, thanking you and the whole crew for putting together the first BBQ about a month ago, but time got away from me, so thought I'd get off an email instead. After being involved with Pinnacle time share yachts for a number of years, and never being given the opportunity to meet any of the other sailors, the BBQ was just what we had hoped for.  Finding people to sail with has been a challenge over the years, but since the BBQ, my husband hooked up for a sail with another member of the club!

We're looking forward to many more gatherings and hope to see the club grow and succeed. We've been to many places looking for sailing clubs like Flagship and they're few and far between. We feel lucky to have Flagship right here in St. Pete!

Thanks for the new monthly newsletter too.

Just love it!

Jim and Gardner,

We enjoyed our vist to Clearwater and the sailing lessons. Jim, thanks for making the lessons fun, informative, and professional. I've attached a picture we took of you. Gardner, thanks for your hospitality. It will be a pleasure to recommend your school to friends whenever possible.

I'm already looking forward to next time. If you need crew for a Fall trip to somewhere interesting (Cuba?), email us. Perhaps, we could incorporate the next class into it.

Warm Regards,

Jeff and Sharon Willis

Hi Gardner;

It's Aimee from Chicago. I just wanted to let you know how MUCH I have gained as a sailor from taking the classes this past spring. The navigation work has really been put into use -- especially when the gps (we only had one handheld due to a miscommunication) went out during a storm on the Mac race. Since I had been keeping running fixes, when we no longer had the gps I was able to give us an approximate location (and danger bearing) to get us through the worst of the storm. Unfortunately the skipper and watch captain didn't really believe me so we went WAY too far to the west.

Also I located our position in the early am when the rain cleared enough to see a light and then got us through a 2 shoals to get back on course. Coming back with just the two of us, I knew that I had the skills to get through several days of 20+ winds. And I held a fairly steady helm, even through the 6-8 ft waves! The skipper still won't let me dock -- guess I'll just have to get my own boat to work on with that. I know you kept saying you didn't doubt my sailing ability but I have to let you know that your courses, your teachers have really increased my knowledge and abilities. Several people have stated that they have noticed the change in my skill level.

Thanks again,

Aimee

Hi Gardner,

Thanks for everything. I really enjoyed the course & sailing with you was a pleasure! I may well take you up on that offer of a personal note...I'll see what they require & let you know. When I come to Florida again I will definately be chartering with you. Good luck with the expansion.

Regards,

Paul
